Bodog poker dispute

I opened an account with Bodog in late December to play poker. It wasn't until I was up a measley $1,200 that my account was disabled due to "Credit card verification"...after several submissions to resolve this situation I received an email from Bodog saying that my account had been "verified"...and "thank you." Yet, when I went to log into my account it was STILL disabled. I called Bodog and was transferred to financial services.....they asked me if I had any association with someone named "Mike Johnson" which I had not....however, they suspended my account indefinitely and withheld the funds. I asked them for a reason but got nothing more than "because we feel there has been fraud associated with this account." That was it! No further explanation and that's AFTER I had gone through exhaustive lengths to go through the verification process and was CLEARED by Bodog!

To me, BODOG IS THE FRAUD and I would deter ANYONE from doing business with them as you have no recourse, they offer NO substantiation their so-called claims and they will steal your money.

If you want to email me your account info at ttinco @ therx.com, I'll look into it for you.

Off the top, I'd guess that they suspect that you were colluding with the other guy or that you had deposited to both accounts from the same card-both of which will get you in hot water at pretty much any poker site if that's the case.

if you have not done anything wrong (i.e. collusion), don't worry and don't get so angry yet.

These measures are for our safety and bodog will not keep your money once they sort it out. If you have done something, bad, nothing to complain about.

Sure it wasnt Mi Johnson? Sounds like they are putting the Johnson in your back side. Then again IP addresses are so easily checked and most of these smart internet cheaters don't even know they can check them.

I'll tell you one thing about Bodog, and I've always been a supporter of theirs. At a site where I moderate, a forum member was just complaining about how he asked for a withdrawal, and after waiting 6 weeks for it, the check bounced.....again. I say again, because he got the same treatment when Bodog was having processing problems about a year ago. Something is wrong over there.

any details on this?

a couple yrs ago when we had the hurricane down here i won a poker tournament. i had deposited a 500 check thru them[which i had done 8 or 10 times before that with no problem]. well the banks were closed for days down here and they couldn't process the check so they kept the winnings.
after calling and explaining what happened, they decided they wanted DL and copy of bank records. i got them a letter from the bank saying the funds were good and that the bank was shut down. they said it wasn't good enough.

Bodog has always worked very closely with us to resolve any issues that come up, so please contact any of the mods and they will take care of it.

Processing is tough these days, but Bodog isn't going anywhere, and I am confident that they will rectify the situation.

Thanks
Rick
